Olive oil is a perishable product. Our policy reflects that — but it also reflects our belief that a bottle you paid for should arrive in the condition we intended.
If your order arrives damaged or wrong
We will replace or refund. No exceptions, no restocking fees.
Email hello@maniatisfoods.com within seven days of delivery with your order number, a photo of the damaged item or packaging (or the wrong item, alongside your packing slip), and your preferred resolution (replacement, refund, or store credit).
We respond within two business days. If the oil has arrived with a broken seal, a cracked bottle, a leaking tin, or the wrong SKU in the box, we do not need it returned — dispose of it, and we will send a replacement or refund the card.
If you change your mind
Unopened, sealed bottles and tins in their original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund minus the original shipping cost. Email hello@maniatisfoods.com to request a return label.
We do not accept returns on opened bottles, for food-safety reasons.
If a bottle is not what you expected
This happens. Early-harvest Koroneiki has a distinctive peppery bite, and the first time it causes someone to cough twice at the back of the throat, the experience can be a surprise.
Write to us. If you've tasted the oil and it is not to your preference, we will refund the purchase or replace it with a different size — including on opened bottles — as a one-time courtesy. We would rather you try the oil and not love it than keep a bottle on a shelf, unused.
What we do not accept
- Returns on olive spreads once the jar seal is broken (food-safety / perishable).
- Returns on orders placed more than 30 days ago.
- Returns on items clearly marked final-sale.
- Returns on gift card orders.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect a returned item, or confirm a damaged / wrong-item claim, refunds process to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Your bank's timing varies.
Exchanges
We recommend returning the original item for a refund, then placing a new order for what you'd prefer. It's faster for both of us than arranging a swap.
